Hendon’s main claim to fame is in flying. One part of the Hendon Aerodrome is now the RAF Museum and another part is used as Hendon Police College. Hendon Hall, built in 1756, is the last remaining of the grand houses. Hendon War Memorial was moved to its present location in 1962.
