Grosvenor Square is one of the largest garden squares in Central London. Built by Sir Richard Grosvenor in the early 18th Century, the square has seen significant changes since its construction. The gardens were originally private, open only to the aristocracy that lived in the houses which lined the square. Since demolition has replaced the original grand houses with hotels, apartment blocks and offices, the park is now a much used public space where it is usual to find local residents, business people and tourists.
