London Docklands is a showcase of waterside redevelopment. Many of the old Dockland wharves and warehouses were demolished, although some were restored and converted into apartments. The docks themselves were transformed into marinas and water-sports centres. Docklands has its own free newspaper, The Docklands, available from locations in Canary Wharf, Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
